Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is often the beginning of addressing wounds of the past and present, understanding and processing trauma, bringing current challenges into focus, and identifying and walking the path to healing. Entering into therapy is a testament to not only caring for oneself, but also for those around us as we gain insight into our core self, learn to recognize the origins of our values and belief systems, and uncover and understand both historical and current patterns or sources of suffering. Individual therapy is a journey you will take with a well-matched, chosen therapist who will help facilitate your growth, development, and self-acceptance right alongside you. Areas that individual therapy can address include, but are not limited to:

  • Family of origin issues
  • Relationships
  • Anxiety
  • Work stress
  • Low self esteem
  • Stress related to race, gender, LGBTQ identity
  • Coming out
  • Gender dysphoria
  • Dealing with racism homophobia or transphobia
  • Internalized oppression
  • Intimacy
Therapy for Partners (aka Couples therapy)
Therapy for partners is useful for not only addressing wounds or challenges occurring within an intimate relationship but also for developing strong relationship foundations. Areas that partner therapy can address, include but are not limited to:

  • Conflict and communication
  • Pre-marital counseling
  • Infidelity
  • Relationship wounds and forgiveness
  • Emotional disconnectedness
  • Opening up a relationship
  • Navigating non-monogamous relationships
  • Interracial relationships
Family Therapy
Family Therapy is useful for addressing wounds or challenges occurring within a family system. Family therapy can be with all family members, within sub units in a family e.g. siblings or across units e.g. a parent and a child. Your therapist will help you clarify who should attend your family therapy sessions.

Group Therapy
Group therapy supports individuals in developing self-awareness through listening to and sharing stories similar to their own. Group therapy can also offer opportunities to interact with a diverse collective, exposing attendees to individuals with different personalities and backgrounds who are navigating similar challenges. Your therapist can help you decide if a group is right for you.

Wonderful! This was my first time going to therapy. I felt comfortable immediately and made a great deal of progress in a short period of time.
