Couples & Partners
Premarital Counseling
The couples who come before the wedding are not in trouble. They are doing the sensible thing: having the four or five conversations that otherwise get had for the first time in year three, badly.
What we cover
- Money — not budgets, but what money meant in each of your families
- Children — whether, when, how many, and who is expected to absorb the cost to their career
- Family and in-laws — where the boundary sits and who is responsible for holding it
- Sex and intimacy — expectations, mismatch, and how you will talk about it in ten years
- Conflict — what each of you does when it gets hot, and what your parents did
Format
Usually six to eight sessions, sometimes as a compressed intensive over a weekend for couples with no free weeknights.

What people ask
Do you provide documentation for religious officiants?
We can confirm attendance in writing if your officiant requires it.
Is this only for engaged couples?
No. Couples who are moving in together or merging finances do the same work.
